This site has no analytics, no advertising and no cookies, and loads nothing from other companies. Our host (Cloudflare) sees the normal technical details of a visit, such as your IP address, to deliver the page.

License check
When you activate a license key, VIRA sends the key (over HTTPS), a public device key made on your PC, whether Windows holds it in a TPM or in software, a signature and the app version to our license service. Later checks send only the public device key and a signature. The service stores a keyed hash of the key, the key itself only encrypted, the device's public key, status and timestamps, and a short audit record. It does not store card details, hotspot names or passwords, or your device lists.
Free trial
To start a trial the app sends a one-way code made from this PC's hardware identity (the BIOS identity of the computer), a one-way code of the Windows installation, and the PC's public license key. The hardware details themselves never leave your PC. No e-mail address is needed. We keep:
- those one-way codes, so the same PC cannot start a second trial, even after Windows or VIRA is reinstalled;
- the trial's start and end time, last-seen time and app version.
If a PC cannot be recognised, or the seller asks for it, you may instead be asked to confirm an e-mail address with a 6-digit code. Then we also keep the address as a one-way hash and, encrypted, the address itself, so we can support you and prevent abuse. Codes are kept only as a hash, expire after 10 minutes and are removed once used.
Verification codes are kept only as a hash, expire after 10 minutes and are removed once used. Your IP address is used only to limit abuse (for example many trials from one place in a day), as keyed one-way hashes of the address and of its neighbourhood; the address itself is not stored.
Who else handles data
Cloudflare runs our license service and its database. When an e-mail confirmation is needed, a mail provider (currently Google's Gmail) delivers the verification e-mail. Payhip handles purchases and payments under its own terms; we never see card details.

Write to vira.techs.tools@gmail.com to ask what we hold about you or to have your trial record removed. We will handle requests as the law that applies to you requires.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the data described above, such as encryption of stored e-mail addresses and keys and hashing of codes. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your PC, your Windows account, your license key and the passwords you set for your hotspot.
Third-party services
The services named above operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and the developer is not responsible for their acts, omissions or changes, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Links and e-mail you exchange with third parties are governed by their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the software or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. This policy forms part of the terms of service, including their limits on liability.
